It's scary to think that we are now in December, my how the year has seemed to flow by. However one fun thing about December is that the party season is now underway giving us girls an excuse to get our glad rags on and have a tipple too many. In time for the festive season Monsoon have released some gorgeous party wear pieces that add a sparkle to the winter season.
For me I fell in love with their Beatrix Brocade Dress, I don't think it's too formal looking yet still smart and stylish for those Christmas parties. The print on the dress is gorgeous and more importantly is reduced to £54 which for me is a great price for a party dress.
Shoes I have opted for simple black peep toes, which for me are just a staple for any wardrobe. I love the little bow detailing as well it just gives them that little bit of cuteness which sets them apart from simple black peep toes.
How gorgeous is the Midnight Clutch? Despite the fact I have a love/hate relationship with clutches I instantly fell in love with this. I love the blue and gold contrast which I think makes the perfect bag for the holiday season and really compliments the blue tones of the dress.
I'm not sure what people's thoughts are on animal hairbands but since seeing them in stores I have fell in love with them. Now not something I'd wear on a daily basis however I think that animal bands are perfect for the party season, allowing you to step out of your comfort zone slightly and experiment with fun looks.
Jewellery wise I have opted for gold pieces to compliment the finishing touches of the bag and hairband. I am a big fan of chunky necklaces and whilst I didn't want to go for something statement I think this still makes a strong impact, the thick chain really helps to make the piece stand out and anyways I feel bare if I don't have a necklace on. I think the long crystal ring is a dazzler, from the detailing to the size, why not wear costume jewellery over the party season? Earring I kept simple yet cute with these floral studs.
My outfit wishlist would not be completed with two beauty must haves, a good manicure and glossy lips. I went for Accessorize's Firefly polish as glitters are a must have in December, festive colours or not. However I think a lot can be said for darker glitters as they are not only great for Xmas but make a perfect New Year shade. Lipgloss wise I wanted to go for something more neutral and I think this shade of pink is really gorgeous, whilst not overpowering. As everything else is slightly on the darker side I wanted to brighten the overall look with a nice lip gloss to add a pop of colour.
That's my party wear wishlist, hope you like! What do you have on your wishlist for the party season?
